A pleasant fresh green merges with fruity with sweet notes (calendula petals, almond slices) and vanilla flavoring giving this Rooibos and green blend an exotic jazzy depth. A favorite with our tea blenders and with us - its particularly good with honey. The green tea base is Hyson Lucky Dragon. Hyson translates to 'flourishing spring' and is made from young spring leaves of higher quality that are better tasting. All the health benefits of both organic Rooibos and Green Tea together in one great taste! Aside from its excellent taste Rooibos is an excellent source of polyphenols. Rooibos contains no caffeine making this tea blend lower in caffeine too. Mass Market teas typically have a 5-6% antioxidant level. The lucky dragon hyson green tea used in this blend has a very high antioxidant level of 11.4%

Hot Tea: This tea is best enjoyed by pouring 203F/95C water over the leaves (1 tsp per cup) for 2-5 minutes (longer=stronger). Don't remove the leaves but rather add more hot water until the flavor is exhausted. Can be infused repeatedly 3 times using higher temperatures and shorter infusions each time.
Iced Tea: Pour 1 1/4 cups of hot water over 6 teaspoons of tea and steep for 5 minutes. Pour into pitcher while straining leaves, add ice and top up with cold water to make a quart of iced tea. Garnish and sweeten to taste.
